Use of cookies

A cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, web cookie, or browser cookie, is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored in a user's web browser while a user is browsing a website. When the user browses the same website in the future, the data stored in the cookie is sent back to the website by the browser to notify the website of the user's previous activity. This allows us to enhance your experience on the site.

Cookies cannot carry viruses or install malware on your computer. We don't use them to store any sensitive data such as passwords or financial informations.

Cookies can be temporary (session cookies) or persistent. Session cookies exist in temporary memory only while you are reading and navigating the website. Your browser will delete them when you close your browser. Persistent cookies will outlast your session. If a persistent cookie has its Max-Age set to 1 year, then, within the year, the initial value set in that cookie would be sent back to the server every time you visit the site, unless you delete it manually.

We use only a session cookie to remember you when you visit the site, but we allow also third-parties (Google in particular) to use analytics cookies (both temporary and persistent) on our site to collect and compile datas about the areas of the site that are visited the most, and follow our own marketing efforts. These informations are used to enhance the content of the site and facilitate your experience, but also to inform us of the success of our marketing campaigns elsewhere on Internet.

Most browsers are configured to accept cookies used by EU Federation or third-parties. You can however edit these settings to accept cookies (ours and those of third-parties), be invited to accept or decline each cookie sent or reject all cookies altogether.

The following links will give you explanations on how to set the cookies parameters on your browser:
